Hello Friends!

Houston on the Move is moving along and on our 5th show we had a range of guests and a featured attraction. To start it off, a group of students have started a Media Network at the University of Houston and have recently launched The Venture newspaper. To tell us more about it we had founder /News Editor Norma Vasquez and Sports Editor Jesus Acevedo.

For more than 103 years Neighborhood Centers has been transforming the lives of deserving Houston-Area residents. To educate us more about this organization we had Vice President of Community Based Initiatives, Claudia Vasquez and Director of Neighborhood Tax Centers of Neighborhood Centers, Elizabeth Colvin.

On the 5th show we also meet a young girl from Mallorca, Spain who at age 15 embarked a journey to follow her dream of becoming a ballet dancer.

Created in 2006 the John C. Freeman Weather Museum has the mission to make the community Weather-wise. We had Meteorologist Cindy Althoff talk to us over the museum.
